UFC middleweight contender, Michael “The Count” Bisping has revealed his girlfriend gave birth to their third child tonight and that he’ll be able to catch his flight to Las Vegas, Nevada as planned.

Speaking via his Twiter page, Bisping said:

“babys here, 9lb the big lump. can make my flight to Vegas as planned. miller time!!”

“The Count” will take on Dan Miller in the co-main event of UFC 114 on May 29th and represents a pivotal fight in the Brit’s career. It’s nice to know he’ll have another supporter cheering him on in two weeks time.

In an EXCLUSIVE interview by MMABay.co.uk with Wolfslair Academy star Michael Bisping this week, ‘The Count’ revealed that he has his sights set on finishing Dan Miller is spectacular fashion, as well as giving some hints on what he will be looking to avoid on May 29th.

Bisping, a noted striker, has faced criticism of late for a supposed lack of stopping power in his blows. It’s a fallacy that ‘The Count’ is determined to disprove, and he aims to do so in spectacular fashion at Dan Miller’s expense…

“A ‘Knock Out of the Night’ cheque is way overdue…I’ve had ‘Fight of the Night’ a few times, but I’m looking for ‘KO of the Night’ in this one. I’m looking at stopping him, that’s for sure”

Bisping last competed in February, coming out on the wrong side of a razor-thin split decision against Wanderlei Silva. Much has been made of the fight and the result, and even though he’s pragmatic, the truth is clear in Bisping’s mind…

“I watched the fight back recently; I think I probably did just enough to shave the first two rounds. It was a good fight, a very close fight and Wanderlei got the decision on the night so congratulations to him. UFC middleweight contender, Michael “The Count” Bisping has given his opinion on the antics of Paul Daley inside the octagon this past weekend at UFC 113, saying it was one of the most stupid things he’s ever seen.

Speaking via MMAFighting.com, Bisping said:

“What can I say? It was one of the stupidest things that I had ever seen. Paul’s a very talented young man, he’s got a bright future ahead of him and he was getting his UFC career off to a fantastic start and it’s a shame to see a few seconds of madness ruin such a great potential career. But this is a professional sport and we’re professional sportsman, you can’t act like that.”

“I, myself, have done years and years of interviews and things like that, talking about how we’re not thugs, we’re professional athletes, we’re martial artists. Behavior like that just plays into stereotypes. It’s just a bit of a shame, really.”  read more »
